 Mary-Elizabeth Harper
Mary-Elizabeth Harper began her professional career in education after obtaining her Bachelors of Arts in English and Masters of Science in Education Administration degrees in Illinois. She always wanted to teach and enthusiastically became as a classroom English teacher in middle and high schools in Illinois before moving to San Diego, California to work for the National Education Association, the largest education union in the nation. This position furthered her desire to advocate for improvements in public education that would expand academics to benefit all children.

In San Diego, Mary-Elizabeth extended her education by completing her Jurisprudence Degree in law, but remained associated with educational institutions. Her advocacy for betterment of educational principles extended to serving in numerous administrative positions in higher educational institutions, including years teaching as a professor of administrative justice and law at several colleges and universities. From her personal experiences as the mother of four children working a demanding job while attending law school, she developed successful time management skills, resilient learning techniques and organizational skills that assisted her not only for academics but also for her personal life. She is passionate about empowering young people with solid skills that will translate to success in their academic and personal lives.
